Family and Youth Campout!

Bonfire.jpg Family and Youth Camping Trip! Sept. 17-19. At Valley Camp

We have fabulous weekend planned! Camping not your thing?  Don’t sweat it! Come out and join us for the potluck on Friday and/or come back and play with us again on Saturday.  Check the schedule below to see the many fun things we have planned for Saturday.  It all culminates in our first-ever campfire evening worship service—a full Eucharistic service featuring scripture, the Word and Holy Communion.  Sure to be an memorable experience.  We’ll be providing lunch and dinner on Saturday.  We’ll have card games, board games, sports games and even some devotional activities.  Remember that TV game show “The Hollywood Squares?”  Well, we’ve revived it for your entertainment.  Although we won’t be giving away any trips to the Caribbean we will have some prizes for our contestants.  Check out the prayer walk...a self-guided stroll along the trails with contemplative scriptures along the way.

Be sure to put this amazing event on your calendar.  We can’t promise that it won’t rain but we can promise there will be lots of faith, food and fun!

Everyone is Invited! See You There!

Mt Si Food Bank

Mount Si Lutheran is a proud supporter of the Mt Si Food Bank. The food bank, sponsored by the Snoqualmie Valley Ministerial Association, has been providing food at no cost to our hungry neighbors for the past 35 years. In 1972, the food bank provided food to about 50 people per week, today that number has increased to over 775 per week. The food bank is now serving 220-230 families and single adults every week. Needless to say, the growth in need has a direct relation to the amount of food that must acquire, store, prepare, and distribute. To read more about the food bank and to find out how you can serve follow...Read more...

History
Mount Si Lutheran has been an integral part of the community of North Bend, Washington for over 60 years. The Church is a beautiful white steepled church that has been blessed by it's members and visitors. Ground breaking service for the new Mount Si Lutheran Church building started in December of 1950. Mount Si StainglassFinancing initially came from loans & donations from members of the congregation, and later from a mission loan fund. Labor was provided by members of the congregation who worked at their regular jobs during the day then spent many evenings and weekends at the church. Everyone helped in some way to support the effort. On November 11, 1951 the first services was held in the basement of the new church with 117 in attendance, double the number of members who had started the church just two years earlier.
