The Mount Si Lutheran Church High School Mission Trip will be traveling to San Francisco this summer. On July 31st we are taking 16 youth and 4 adults to San Fran to participate in many different service opportunities. Among these opportunities we will mainly be serving the city by programming and leading a kids club, serving the homeless population by handing out clothes, preparing and supplying meals, and spreading the love of Christ everywhere we go!

Our trip is organized by Youth Works. Youth Works is a mission trip organization based out of Minneapolis, MN. Youth Works was created in 1994 by a youth minister in Minneapolis, MN. With a Christ-centered board guiding a skilled staff, YouthWorks has seen incredible growth. In the summer of 2009, Youth Works had almost 35,000 participants in over 69 different communities.

We want to thank you so much for your support and prayers as we serve God in San Francisco, California! It has been a crazy year of fundraising for this trip! Our fundraisers have included an Easter Breakfast, Rummage Sale, Car Wash, and a Shareholder Market! We are proud to say that we have made it and now have enough to make this trip happen! We couldn’t have done it without the help of people like you who have financially supported us along the way. The one thing we still need is your prayers! Please pray that we will all experience God in ways we have never imagined and that our time spent in San Francisco will carry over to our lives even after our trip.
