Buildings and Grounds -

Buildings and grounds ministry is the maintenance crew of Mount Si. They organize annual cleaning and maintenance events and are responsible for daily upkeep of the church.

 

Choir -

Mount Si is blessed with two beautiful choirs that perform on a regular basis. The adult choir has a long tradition at Mount Si and the Children's choir blesses our congregation with the voices of angels.

 

Evangelism -

This ministry supports the Mount Si Lutheran objective "To Reach". This ministry meets monthly and holds annual events to reach out to the community.

 

Family and Youth -

The Mount Si Lutheran Church Family and Youth Ministry Program exist to spread the love of God while helping youth and families grow in their faith by serving the community, encouraging fellowship and discovering how to apply the teachings of Christ to all aspects of our daily lives.

 

Global Missions -

Global Missions serves our community through our prayers and financial support of our missionaries and our partner church in Russia.

 

House of Hope -

This ministry provides support to the women and thier families who are given an opportunity to resart their lives at this local shelter, a mission of Mama's hands.

 

Library -

Our church library is a place to relax and enjoy a variety of books and christian readings.

 

Mount Si Helping Hands Food Bank -

We bring glory to God by serving His people. At Mount Si Lutheran we have been serving at the Helping Hands Food Bank for many years as we work with other Valley churches in helping to provide food for those in need.

 

Mount Si Women of Christ -

As a community of women created in the image of God, called to discipleship in Jesus Christ and empowered by the Holy Spirit, we commit ourselves to grow in faith, affirm our gifts, support one another in our callings, engage in ministry and action, and promote healing and wholeness in the church, the society and the world.

 

Parish Education -

It is a group which oversees all the education activities of the congregation. Our mission is to help people grow in faith so they become completley committed followers of Christ. To accomplish this, we need to provide more learning experiences, not just classes. We need to give knowledge, but also challenge people to apply what they have learned. Our goal is to develop mature believers.

 

Quilting -

This ministry collects donated fabric to make quilts that are sent through Lutheran World Relief to third world countries. Last year(2005) 152 quilts were assembled and shipped. We rely on donated fabrics, bedsheets in good condition and thread and can always use these donations. In addition we collect clean, usable clothing for men, women and children and also bar soap.

 

Senior Fellowship -

Provide social Chrisitian fellowship for senior members of our Congregation through programs of interest. Programs in 2006 include a presentation on Medicare's Plan D prescription benefit, tour of the newly remodeled QFC and a travel program.
